Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) has contracted non-profit agencies to implement parenting education for many years.
Non-profit agencies from nine regions across the state that proved to be viable & capable of growth were chosen to become members of the newly developed Louisiana FRC Network.

The Family Resource Centers promote & provide services that address & accommodate the needs of families in their community.
Delivery of services provides comprehensive support to identified families aimed at increasing & improving the family system’s level of functioning & restoring & strengthening a safe & stable environment for children.

Title IV-B, Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) provides the foundation for and the funding of LA Family Resource Centers.
These funds are specifically allocated to assist with family preservation and community-based family support programs, time-limited family reunification services, and adoption promotion and support services.
