Frequently Asked Questions

Please call our office Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm @ 337-433-1062  for information on any of our Community Programs.

YES! We accept financial gifts of ANY AMOUNT & ANYTIME!

ONE HUGE NEED that our Community Programs personnel often come across is families needing help getting caught up with past due rent and utility bills! PLEASE consider a donation of ANY AMOUNT to our (very limited!) emergency fund that we reserve specifically for this purpose! 100% of these donations go directly to paying the past due amount to help families maintain stable housing!

Other needs:

Our Community Programs division provides in-home and community-based services in the 5-parish region, at NO CHARGE to participants! Donation needs change depending on the families we are serving, and also the season in which they're being served. For example: summer & fall include storm/emergency preparedness assistance and school supply giveaway events, while winter brings the need for Christmas gifts for children, warm clothing, & safe home heating solutions.

Throughout the year, our teams participate in various outreach events such as community baby showers, health & resource fairs, car seat instruction & checks, and helping families acquire needed furniture, clothing, and resources to repair/replace appliances, etc. The needs are great, indeed, but we are committed to helping families as much as we can and would love to have your support!
